In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Warren Peiffer, an infant daughter, Audrey Louise Peiffer, and two brothers, Joseph “Joe Boy” Russ and Louis “Sonny” Russ.

She is survived by her devoted daughters, Linda S. Nichols (George), and Patti A. Matincheck (Edward), all of Middletown; a sister, Audrey Stauffer of Middletown; five grandchildren, Michaelann Allegrini (Jack), Brandon Nichols (Maureena), Nick Matincheck (Deb), Joshua Matincheck(Tracee), and Annie Matincheck (David); four great-grandchildren, Liz, Nicholas, Sydney, and Adysyn; and one great-great- granddaughter, Alexis.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 280 N. Race St., Middletown, PA 17057, with the Rev. Ted Keating as Celebrant. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass in the narthex of the church.

Memorial contributions may be sent to Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church (address listed above), or to Hospice of Central PA, 1320 Linglestown Rd., Harrisburg, PA 17110.
