Stephen P. Matincheck, 87, of Elizabethtown, entered into rest on Sunday, March 16, at the VA Medical Center, Lebanon.
Steve was born on April 30, 1926 in Middletown and was the son of the late Gabriel and Anna Matinchek.
He was a retired employee of Groff’s Meats, Elizabethtown; was a Navy veteran of World War II; he was also a member of American Legion Post 594, Middletown; and was a former member of Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Middletown.
He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Joan L. Stipe Matincheck; three sons Stephen P. and wife Jane Matincheck of Parish, Fla., Christopher and wife Linda Matincheck of Fort Meyers, Fla., and Andrew T. Matincheck of Wewahitchka Fla.; two daughters Judy E., wife of Steve Mervine of Bainbridge, and Joann Cain of Middletown; two brothers Alec and wife Mary Matincheck of Ohio, and Joseph and wife Sandra Matincheck of Elizabethtown; sister Barbara Pristello of Middletown; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In keeping with Steve’s wishes, there will be no services.
Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
