Roberta Hennessy

Roberta Hennessey, 90, of Middletown, passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey.

Born in Broad Top City, Pa. on September 11, 1929, a daughter of the late Robert and Margaret (Williams) Watson. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family being preceded in death by her parents and 10 siblings.

On July 16, 1951, she was united in marriage to Ronnie L. Hennessey. Mr. Hennessey survives in Middletown.

She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Hummelstown, Pa. and loved to read. Her employment was with bookbinders Doubleday Company and Wert Bindery.

Along with her husband, she is survived by daughters, Kathy Rose, wife of John of Harrisburg, Margaret Hennessey of Hummelstown, Rhonda Crow, wife of Mark of Middletown, and Barbara Hennessey of Hershey. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family members.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, June 23, at 1 p.m., with Pastor Dan Gilbert officiating at the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home, Inc. Broad Top City, Pa. Friends were received one hour prior to the service.

Interment took place in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Broad Top City, Pa.
