Eleanor L. Duncan


Eleanor L. Watson-Duncan, 73, of Middletown, Pennsylvania, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 19, 1944 in Middletown, Pa. and was the daughter of the late Furie F. and Stella A. White Manfred.

Eleanor was baptized at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church of Middletown: she enjoyed bingo, poker and Yahtzee.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers William and Charles (Monk) Manfred and sister Wendy Getz.

She is survived by her five children; Greg Watson (Dawn) of Middletown, Harry Watson (Karen) of Cumberland, R.I.; Tina Carter (Tim), Kevin Watson of Safety Harbor, Fla. and Terry Watson of Holiday, Fla.; sisters Helen Doup, Doris Redman (Lloyd), Brenda Hollingsworth (Glen), and Debbie Amspacher (Leon); brothers Edward Manfred, Terry Manfred (Janet); seven granddaughters and four grandsons; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

A tribute to Eleanor’s life will be held at Valley Baptist Church, 1190 N. Union St., Middletown on Saturday May 19, 2018, with visitation at 9 a.m. and a memorial service at 10 a.m., with Pastor Jerry Cowan officiating.

The family has entrusted Matinchek Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 260 East Main St., Middletown, PA 17057 with the funeral arrangements.
