Martha C. Jansen


Martha C. Jansen, 95, a resident of Middletown Pa., peacefully passed away at home with family at her side on Saturday, March 23, 2019.

Born March 14, 1924, Martha was the daughter of the late Lottie and John Joseph Repko.

Martha and her husband Eddie owned an appliance business, Middletown Supply Co., for 30 years. Following retiring from the appliance business, Martha worked in a fabric shop where she enjoyed sharing her love for sewing with others. She was a devout Catholic who attended mass daily and was an active member at her church, Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Middletown. She enjoyed singing in the choir and devoting service to the church in many ways.

She was predeceased by her loving husband of 49 years, Edward Jansen and two brothers, John and Joseph Repko.

Above all things, Martha loved her family. Martha leaves behind her son, Edward Jansen and wife Linda and her daughter, Kathleen (Jansen) Karn and husband Jeff; her beloved grandchildren, Michele and Joseph; and a sister, Ruth Hoeger.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 29, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Middletown, with the Rev. Ted Keating as Celebrant. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass in the narthex of Seven Sorrows.

Burial will be in Middletown Cemetery.
