Mabel C. Clark

Mable C. Clark, 80, of Middletown, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 13, 2018.

She was born on March 26, 1938 in Harrisburg and was the loving daughter of the late Harry and Gladys Schreffler.

She attended Bishop McDevitt High School and then enjoyed staying at home with her children whom she provided an endless amount of love and care for.

Mable was a kind-hearted and loving mother, grandmother and friend. She was always admired for her loving personality. Her smile would light up a room and she would always be there to listen and give guidance to others. She enjoyed crocheting, baking Christmas cookies with her family, watching country and western shows and creating memories with her grandchildren and watching them grow up. Christmas was her favorite time of year as she loved baking and decorating her Christmas tree with as much tinsel as she could. She loved every moment she spent with her family and friends and she would always make sure they knew how much she loved and adored them.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Harry Schreffler Jr.

Mable is survived by her husband of 62 years, John H. Clark Sr.; four children, Anita Miller, Tami Heisey, John Clark Jr., and Lynn Kerr; she was “Mam-Maw” to 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

A tribute to Mable’s life will be held on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at 12:30 p.m. at Matinchek Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 260 East Main St., Middletown, Pa., with the Rev. Dr. J. Richard Eckert officiating. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 from 5 to 7 p.m., then again on Thursday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
