Lower Swatara Township man allegedly stole $850 from day care; police need your help finding him

Lower Swatara police are searching for a township man who is a suspect in a burglary at Growing Adventures Childcare. 

Officers have issued a warrant for Larry McDonald, 60, on a felony charge of burglary and a misdemeanor charge of theft. 

Police responded to a report that someone entered an office in the day care at 5:05 p.m. March 19. Staff told police that someone stole a total of $850. 

When staff reviewed surveillance, it allegedly showed McDonald entering the office on March 16,18 and 19. He admitted to the owner of the building to taking money from the day care, police said.

According to police, he was an employee of the owner of the building but not an employee of the day care. 

He has used the alias Larry Hayden.
