Lower Dauphin High School’s Ulrey and Mosco receive monthly honors

Editor’s note: Because of the closure of schools, there was a delay in the release of Students of the Month for Lower Dauphin.

Two Lower Dauphin High School seniors recently were honored as Students of the Month.

Clayton Ulrey was the Hummelstown Rotary Club’s Student of the Month for March.

The son of Evan and Tina Ulrey, he is a four-year starter on the wrestling team with 144 wins (70 by pin) and was a two-time state runner-up. He was a four-year member of the Mini-THON committee and was a Mr. Mini-THON candidate this spring. He is a member of the Math Honor Society and was a buddy for four years with Special Olympics.

He wrestled at the national and international levels.

He will attend Virginia Tech University, majoring in computer engineering, and continue his wrestling career.

Morgan Mosco was the Hummelstown Women’s Club’s Young Woman of the Month for March.

The daughter of Tim and Lisa Mosco, she is a four-year member of the girls lacrosse team.

She is a three-year member of the Mini-THON committee and served this year as executive treasurer. She is the vice president of the National Math Honor Society. She is a three-year member of the National Honor Society and a two-year member of the National English Honor Society and the Science National Honor Society.

She is a member of the History Honor Society and the Best Buddies Club. She served as a mentor in LD’s Outdoor Education Program and with Special Olympics.

In the community, she is a mentor in TOPS Soccer.

She will attend Virginia Tech and major in mechanical engineering.
