Lion women top Cedar Crest, 75-53

The Lions pounced early on the Falcons ending the first half with a 48-23 lead.

The second half would remain tight with the Falcons edging out the second half score, but the first half play by the Lions was all they would need as they coasted to victory.

Amanda Moyer went 6-for-8 from the field, scoring 12 points; Stephanie Yetter was 4-for-7 and 2-2 from the line, adding 10; Lucky Snypse added 7 points.

“Playing our last non-conference game before opening our NEAC schedule was a total team victory,’’ said Lion Coach Ross Patrick. “A lot of youthful energy tonight provided us with great effort, while also identifying some areas we need to continue to work on.”

“It’s a great night, a road victory, and the understanding to not be complacent as we begin to defend our title as South Division champions.”
