Josephine O. Molina


Josephine O. Molina, 88, of Middletown, entered into eternal rest unexpectedly on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at Hershey Medical Center.

She was born March 19, 1932 in Lancaster and was the loving daughter of the late Nicholas and Santos (Villegas) Ortega.

Josephine enjoyed traveling, reading and spending time with family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Josephine was preceded in death by her daughter Ellen Ecenrode.

Josephine is survived by her husband of 70 years, Francisco Molina; sons, Nicholas Molina of Middletown, and John Molina of Middletown; daughters, Esther Rogers of Harrisburg and Linda Molina of Harrisburg; sisters, Lois Flood of Lancaster, and Mary Negrete of Del.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A tribute to Josephine's life will be on Thursday, June 25, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Matinchek Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. 260 E. Main St., Middletown, Pa., with the Rev. Jerry Cowan officiating. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 from 6 to 8 p.m. and one on Thursday, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Face masks are suggested, but not required.

Interment will be at Ebenezer Cemetery, Middletown.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Josephine's name to Valley Baptist Church Benevolence Fund, 1190 N. Union St., Middletown, PA 17057.

The family has entrusted the Matinchek Funeral Home, 260 E. Main St., Middletown, Pa. with the funeral arrangements.
