Janet L. Gingrich


Janet L. Gingrich, 85, of Middletown, entered into eternal rest on Friday, December 14, 2018 at the Frey Village Nursing Home, Middletown. She was the widow of Edward A. Gingrich Sr.

Janet was born on September 9, 1933 in Steelton, Pa. and was the daughter of the late Ellsworth and Harriet (Manmiller) Owens.

She was a member of St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Middletown. Janet enjoyed traveling with family and friends and was an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan.

Janet is survived by her sons, Edward A. Jr. and wife Denise Gingrich of Middletown, Timothy M. and wife Karen Gingrich of Colonial Heights, Va.; her daughters, Tracey L. and husband Tod Parker of Harrisburg and Laurie A. and husband David Moyer of Elizabethtown; her sister, Peggy Owens of Steelton; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be held on Friday, December 21, 2018 at 11 a.m. at her church at 121 N. Spring Street, Middletown, Pa., with the Rev. Dr. J. Richard Eckert officiating.

Viewing will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at the Matinchek Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 260 East Main Street, Middletown, Pa. and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at her church.

Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Pa.
