Penn State Health has launched a dashboard on its website to provide the number of confirmed and suspected patients its hospitals – Hershey Medical Center and Penn State Health St. Joseph in Reading – are caring for.
The dashboard can be found here. It will be updated once a day.
The numbers reported on the dashboard include two types of patients being cared for: patients with a confirmed positive test for COVID-19 and patients who have symptoms consistent with COVID-19 but do not yet have a confirmed positive test. Those patients are referred to as patients under investigation.
The dashboard counts the active number of inpatients. Anyone who has recovered and been discharged is not included.
St. Joseph has 13 confirmed cases Monday, up from 9 on Saturday, and 4 under investigation, two less that Saturday.
