Grace M. “Mary” Smink, 93, formerly of Middletown and currently of San Antonio, Texas, died Monday, June 16, at the Christus Sister Mary Hospice Center, San Antonio, Texas.
She was born on May 5, 1921 in Shamokin, and was the daughter of the late David Ellsworth Hoffa and Muriel Leticia Rickertt.
She was a member of Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Middletown, was a past president of Seven Sorrows Chapter of National Council of Catholic Women, former chairman of the Steelton Deanery of the National Council of Catholic Women, auxiliary member of the Legion of Mary, 25-year member of the Seven Sorrows Funeral Luncheon committee, a charter member and officer of the Seven Sorrows Golden Group, a volunteer at the annual Seven Sorrows Lenten Fish Fry, and she participated in the Seven Sorrows Community Walk. She was a founding and charter member of the Middletown Boys Club, and a member of the Londonderry Seniors.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Lawrence Smink.
She is survived by her daughter Grayce Earhart of Middletown, and her two sons Russell Charles Earhart Jr. and Bryon Lee, both of Middletown; son Larry Smink of San Antonio, and his three daughters Lauren Stehling, Elaine Bohnert, and Alison Burkholder; brother Kenneth Hoffa of Middletown; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday at Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Middletown.
Burial was at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.

The family has entrusted the care of the Matinchek and Daughter Funeral Home to handle the arrangements.
