Goldie M. Pelletier


Goldie M. Pelletier, 80, of Middletown, entered into eternal rest on Monday, September 3, 2018 at Hershey Medical Center.

She was born on July 21, 1938 in Middletown and was the loving daughter of the late Harry and Irene (Shriner) Young.

Goldie was a member of Middletown First Church of God and enjoyed playing bingo, doing puzzles of all kinds and bowling. She worked at Fox’s (Karns) Market for 39 years. She also was very patriotic and enjoyed living the military service life years ago, but above all, she loved her family.

In addition to her parents, Goldie was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Pelletier Sr., two brothers, Dale Young and Harry Young Jr., and a sister, Faye (Young) Hartman.

She is survived by her loving children, Richard Pelletier Jr. and his wife Lou Ann of Middletown and Robert Pelletier of Middletown; a brother, Jack Young and his wife Bonnie (Leedy) Young of Middletown; a sister, Kaye (Young) Campbell and her husband Richard Sr. of New Jersey; three grandchildren, Seth Pelletier and his wife Nicole, Cara Pelletier, and Cora Pelletier; and two great-grandchildren, Sage and Brice Pelletier.

A tribute to her life will be held on Monday, September 10, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Matinchek Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 260 E. Main St., Middletown, with the Rev. Kimberly Shifler officiating. Viewing will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home.
