Get out and support MAHS seniors during their graduation parade today; here is the map

Be on the lookout tonight, June 3, as a parade of Middletown Area High School seniors drive through Middletown, Royalton and Lower Swatara.

The parade will start after a drive-through commencement starting at 6:30 p.m.

Borough and township residents will be able to stand along the route and cheer for the grads, who have been encouraged to decorate their vehicles and don their caps, gowns and MASD masks. All of the vehicles will be driven by parents and have their headlights and flashers on for safety.

Residents should maintain social distance and wear masks as recommended in the yellow phase. The event will also be broadcast on WMSS.

Here’s the route:

Students will turn out of the high school and right onto North Union Street through Middletown before turning left onto Mill Street. The parade will make a right over the Grubb Street bridge into Royalton. They will turn right onto Northumberland Street, right onto Burd Street, and right onto Canal Street/Ann Street.

After crossing the Ann Street bridge, the cars will turn left onto West Harrisburg Pike and drive into Lower Swatara. They will turn right onto Rosedale Avenue, right onto Baker Avenue/Donald Avenue, right onto Spring Garden Drive and onto Oberlin Road before heading back to the school.
