Fourth coronavirus-related death reported in Pennsylvania, this one in Monroe County
An East Stroudsburg man is the fourth death in Pennsylvania from the coronavirus, according to the Monroe County coroner.
The man, 56, died from complications of the COVID-19 virus, according to Monroe County Coroner Thomas A Yanac Jr., lehighvalleylive.com reported.
He died Sunday at Lehigh Valley-Pocono Hospital in East Stroudsburg.
Yanac had no further information about the victim.
The first death from COVID-19 in the state was announced Wednesday. It was a man from Northampton County whose mother and sister also passed away from the coronavirus in New Jersey — Carmine Fusco, 55. The second was announced Saturday — an Allegheny County resident in their late 60s.
The third was in Montgomery County. Officials reported their first death from COVID-19 on Sunday —a 72-year-old man who lived in Abington Township and had been hospitalized for several days died Saturday.
