Elizabeth Poplawski

Elizabeth A. Poplawski, 85, of Lititz, formerly of Middletown, entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 24, at Moravian Manor, Lititz.

She was born on September 14, 1928 in Mocanaqua, Pa. and was the daughter of the late Guido and Theresa Miller Lenzini.

She was a member of Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Middletown; was employed by the former Edgar Scott Furniture store in Shickshinny, Pa.; and she retired from Community General Osteopathic Hospital in 1993.

She had a strong faith and enjoyed cooking and sharing meals with friends and family, and playing the card game Cad. One of her favorite pastimes was watching the “Lawrence Welk Show.” Her greatest joy of all, however, was the love she received from her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Leon J. Poplawski.

Elizabeth is survived by her loving children Leon E., husband of Mandy Poplawski of Mundelein, Ill., Teresa M., wife of Edward Hartmann of Lititz, and Mark J. Poplawski, companion of April Clements of Las Vegas, Nev.; one sister Mildred Makar; nine grandchildren Kyle and Chelsea Kirchhoefer, Joshua, Jesse, Ariel, and Cody Poplawski, and Zachary, Kristen and Emily Hartmann; two great-grandchildren Reagan Kirchhoefer, and Madison Hartmann; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mass of Christian Burial was held on March 28 at her church, with the Rev. Ted Keating as celebrant.

Burial was in Middletown Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in Elizabeth’s name to the Benevolent Care Fund at Moravian Manor, 300 W. Lemon St., Lititz, PA 17543.
