Posted

Here is a look at the numbers by county in Pennsylvania according to numbers released today by the state Department of Health, including the number of cases and day-over-day change, negative tests and day-over-day change, and number of deaths with the day-over-day change.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health today confirmed 625 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 70,042 in all 67 counties.

The state also reported 108 new deaths Thursday, for 5,373 total, in 54 counties. That’s the second straight day with more than 100 deaths reported, after only 13 on Tuesday.

The increase in total cases Wednesday is about 0.9 percent from the previous day. The highest one-day increase in total cases statewide was 1,989 on April 9.

The Department of Health is now reporting the number of recovered cases. It says 64 percent of those who tested positive have recovered.

We are listing the county numbers by their Department of Health regions, to group them in the way the state is looking at them for possible reductions in restrictions from the coronavirus.
