Well, welcome February! Come in, come in ... otherwise, how else will we get to March, which enables us to reach spring?

The secret is one day at a time. Has the worst of winter passed you by? Maybe, but maybe not. I remember some of our biggest snowstorms and coldest temps being in February and March. Do you need some warm breezes and maybe a sky full of sunshine?

I wish I could bottle up this Florida weather and mail it to you. I do need to tell you, it is not all hot days and warm breezes here. Some mornings it is in the low 60s, and that can easily be a real feel of 40.

You might be thinking, that sounds pretty good, and it is. You start off wearing long sleeves and end up switching to shorts and tees by noon.

I know you have been experiencing some mild weather days, and I am happy for you! Hang in there, have a great week and don’t forget to share your news.

Quote of the Week

“We should always choose our books as God chooses our friends, just a bit beyond us, so that we have to do our level best to keep up with them.” — Oswald Chambers, evangelist, teacher.

Question of the Week

What is your favorite book, why?

“ ‘The Greatest You.’ It’s motivational, makes you stand up for yourself and be a better person. I highly recommend it!” — Megan Danilowicz, Lower Swatara Township.

“ ‘Fervent’ by Priscilla Shirer. It helps me to be refocused on what’s important, and my prayer life.” — Cheryl Rondorf, Virginia Beach, Virginia.

“Holy Bible. It explains the human condition (we are amazing, but hopelessly messed up), and God’s love for us in spite of our situation. Following a personal relationship with Jesus, we can do amazing things, like loving one another, and changing the world so it is like Heaven here. The Bible illustrates the way to him. Also, Bible stories are often bizarre and amazing to read. Best book, ever!” — Bill Seaton, Hummelstown.

“My favorite book is ‘Big Dog...Little Dog,’ because I like big dogs, and little dogs.” — Ayden Windows, 5, Susquehanna Township.

Proverb for the Week

The purpose in a man’s heart is like deep water, but a man of understanding will draw it out (20:5).
