Joseph Gotshall


 He was born in Middletown and was the son of the late John and Marie Gotshall.

 He graduated from Hershey High School, class of 1944, and Gettysburg College; he served in the United States Army Air Force; was employed at the former Olmsted Air Force Base in Middletown, where he worked in Defense Contract Administrative Services until retirement; and was a member of Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hershey, AARP, NARFE, and the Middletown American Legion. 

 He had his private pilot’s license; and he enjoyed dancing, the ocean and beaches, as well as sunsets. He was loved very much by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.

 He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Germaine Jensen Gotshall; sister Ruth Ann Sheaffer; niece Cindy Sheaffer; and nephew Gary Sheaffer and his wife Patty.

 Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 30, at in his church, 212 Cocoa Ave., Hershey.  

 A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

 Interment will follow in Middletown Cemetery.

 In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Joseph’s memory to Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 212 Cocoa Ave., Hershey, PA 17033.
