James M. Hogan


James “Mike” M. Hogan, 60, of Hershey, entered into eternal rest on April 28, 2019 at home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on April 5, 1959 in Harrisburg and was the loving son of the late James R. and Helen (Sweigart) Hogan.

James was a Catholic by faith and belonged to Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Middletown. James enjoyed many things such as fishing, snorkeling, construction, shark tooth expeditions, numismatics and going to the Gulf Coast. He was a big fan of the Indianapolis Colts football team. James worked at Exelon (Three Mile Island) for over 35 years as a radiation protection technician.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Patricia (Staub) Hogan; sons, Kristoffer (Lindsay) of New Cumberland and Thaddeus (Kimberly Rudy) of Camp Hill; daughters, Erica Leilous (Matthew) of Elizabethtown, Madalynn Sharp (Daniel) of Hershey and Kymberleigh Hogan (Brandon Messner) of Harrisburg; and 10 grandchildren.

A tribute to James’ life will be held on Friday, May 3, 2019 at 12 p.m. at Matinchek Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 260 E. Main St., Middletown, with the Rev. Ted Keating officiating. There will be a viewing from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
