Theft


A resident in the first block of Wetzel Street reported at 12:48 p.m. Nov. 15 that three canisters were stolen from his property sometime that day.

A resident of the 400 block of Eshelman Street told police someone broke into his vehicle, taking a GPS charger and blue scarf, estimated total value at $170. Police said the victim believes the items were stolen between 9:30 p.m. on Nov. 7 and 12:30 p.m. the next afternoon.
Police were called to the 100 block of Lusk Avenue for a reported theft on Nov. 2 between 7 a.m. on Nov. 1 and 8 a.m. Nov. 2. The caller stated someone stole two flat screen TVs, an iPad and an iPhone, total estimated value of $2,500.

On Oct. 24, a resident reported a theft from his fenced-in backyard in the first block of Charles Street. The victim told police a hand truck and 15-year-old shrink-wrapped, beige stove was stolen the night before.

Bad checks
Jeanette Johnson, 39, of Harrisburg, was arrested by Highspire police on Nov. 9 and charged with writing bad checks. Police said Johnson, also known as Jeanette Digiglio, gave a $1,200 check to her landlord for rent in April and March, but the check was returned on a closed account, making it a criminal offense.
