She was born on March 29, 1939 in Heckscherville, Pa. and was the daughter of the late John and Ella Szada Vuxta.
She was a former keypunch operator for Bell of Pennsylvania.
She was a former member of Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Middletown; was a graduate of Hershey High School, class of 1957; and was a member of Middletown Women of the Moose Chapter 553.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers Paul and James Vuxta, four stepbrothers Joseph, John, Frank, and Alex Vuxta, and three stepsisters Mary Harris, Elizabeth Moyer and Ann Wade.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Charles A. Lanza; two daughters Laura J. Lanza of Lewisberry, and Erica L., wife of Brian Pluck of Annville; son Charles Lanza of Harrisburg; three brothers Michael, husband of Carol Vuxta, and William Vuxta, all of Middletown, and George, husband of Edie Vuxta of Elizabethtown; grandchildren Morgan, Madison, and Justin Pluck, Kassidy Lanza, and Anthony Lubic.
A Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 31, at the Frank E. Matinchek and Daughter Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 260 E. Main St., Middletown, with the Rev. Ted Keating Jr. officiating.
Burial will be in Hillsdale Cemetery, Middletown.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service on Friday at the funeral home.
