Edna M. Hurlock
Edna May (Sides) Hurlock (Whye), 85, of Middletown, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at her home surrounded by her loving family and caregiver.
She was born on January 4, 1932 in Royalton, Pa. and was the daughter of the late Elwood and Louise (Kipp) Whye.
Edna was a member of the Evangelical Free Church of Hershey where she was active in the choir and children's ministries. She was a homemaker and enjoyed knitting, gardening and taking care of others.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Donald Sides, one brother Jack Whye, and two sisters Patricia Gutshall and Faye Gantz.
Edna is survived by her loving children, Deborah M. Meyers and her husband Ronald of Pittsburgh, Esther L. Sides of Middletown, and Brenda L. Fry and her husband James of Middletown; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
A tribute to her life will be held on Monday, October 9, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Matinchek Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 260 E. Main St., Middletown, with the Rev. Omar Zook officiating.
Viewing will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services on Monday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg.
