Blue Raiders' district championship game delayed until Saturday
The Middletown Blue Raiders football team will have to wait an extra day to try to win their third straight District III 3A championship.
Weather has delayed their game against No. 5 seed Bermudian Springs (9-3) until 6 p.m. Saturday, delayed from 7 p.m. Friday.
The game will be played at Earl Boltz Stadium, Cedar Crest High School. The address is 115 E. Evergreen Road, Lebanon.
The Blue Raiders are 10-1 on the season and are the No. 2 seed in the district.
According to the PIAA, Bermudian Springs has won three District III football titles, all in Class 2A (1992, 1993 and 1998). Middletown has four District III football championships, all in Class 3A. The Blue Raiders won titles in 1986 and 1988 as well as the last two seasons in 3A.
