A winning season - they're back!

coachhugMDTfootballMiddletown’s senior players and their underclassmen teammates closed out their turnaround football season with a pleasing 20-6 victory over Trinity on Friday, Nov. 1 and locked down a winning season for first-year head coach Brett Myers.  By finishing the year with a 6-4 overall record, the Blue Raiders ended up on the plus side of the won/lost column for the first time since 2009. 

Keyed by a solid running game on offense that produced nearly 290 yards on the ground and an equally impressive defensive performance, the Blue Raiders came away as winners in their final game of the 2013 grid season.  The effort was a fitting tribute to the seniors who worked very hard to put the past two seasons behind them.  The senior group included Josh Matinchek, Steven Cain, Seth Babil, Levi Varner, Andrew Rowe, Mel Fager, Jeremy Shaver, Aaron Gray, Chris Holloman, Cody Lutz, Colton Smith and Nick Drawbaugh. And, although the team came up short in its quest for a chance to enter postseason play, the squad took a major step forward in getting the Middletown program heading back in the right direction.
