The 9th Annual Heritage Day sponsored by the Dauphin-Middle Paxton Historical Society will take place on October 10th beginning at 8am.  The Society Museum will be open with many great history displays!  There will be music by Riders, Moonlight Mutts, and Colby Dove, great food including chicken corn soup cooked in iron kettles, pony rides, children's activities, an antique car & tractor show, hit & miss engines, a silent auction, flea market (bring your own tables, $5.00 fee), photography display, and more.  A Halloween Parade hosted by the Middle Paxton Lions Club will follow at approx. 4pm.  Gingerbread and apple cider will be served after the parade. St. Stephen's 45th annual Apple Festival – Saturday Oct 17th

Join us for lunch for our renowned homemade Beef BBQ and Beef Veggie Soup, Hot Dogs, Hot Sausage and lots of desserts! Eat in and take some home for a loved one or homebound neighbor. Be sure to purchase some of our homemade Apple Butter, homemade pies, dumplings, and breads to take home and to share with your family, friends and neighbors. Musical entertainment, and craft vendors on-site. Don't miss our spirited bidding at the Quilt Auction to close out the event after lunch.

Penn State Harrisburg Undergraduate Open House

Penn State Harrisburg will host an Undergraduate Open House on Saturday, October 17 at 9 a.m. in the Capital Union Building on campus.

The event will provide information to prospective students about the college’s more than 30 bachelor’s degree programs, as well as options for completing the first two years of study leading to more than 160 undergraduate majors offered throughout Penn State.

The session will include opportunities to talk with faculty, staff, students, alumni, and on-campus housing representatives; participate in a campus fair; obtain admission requirements, financial aid information, and career services information; and tour the campus.
