Young Middletown football players captured two conference championships on Sunday, Nov. 8 in the CFA Youth Football League – and celebrated their first title in nearly 10 years in style.

The Middletown Youth Club’s Midget division team defeated Hershey, 34-6, while the Pony division team defeated New Cumberland, 31-6, which is believed to be the first time the club has won two titles in the same season. The last time a club team won a CFA championship was in 2006.

The players were paraded through Middletown on a truck, accompanied by borough police and firefighters, then taken to the Middletown Volunteer Fire Department fire hall, where they feasted on pizza and cake.
