Mary Elizabeth Brown, 84, formerly of the Hershey Plaza, entered into rest on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at the Ephrata Community Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on September 8, 1931 in Harrisburg and was the daughter of the late Warren and Anna C. Keets Anderson.
Mary was a member of Fishburn United Methodist Church, Hershey. She was a graduate of William Penn High School, Class of 1948 where she maintained her friendships and gatherings with classmates. She also enjoyed watching classic movies and preparing family meals, but her greatest joy was the love she received from her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband Paul F. Brown Sr. on September 11, 2012.
She is survived by her three loving sons, Paul F. Jr. and wife Debra Brown of Denver, David A. and wife Ellen Willenbecher of Middletown, and Michael D. Brown of Shiremenstown, Pa.; and grandchildren Emily, wife of Todd Jacobs, Stephanie, wife of Greg Renoll, Jodi Brown, and Tyler Brown.
A tribute to her life will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Matinchek & Daughter Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 260 E. Main St., Middletown, with the Rev. John Kratz, her pastor, officiating.
There was a viewing on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at the funeral home, and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow the service on Wednesday at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg. Memorial contributions in Mary’s name may be made to Ephrata Manor, 99 Bethany Rd., Ephrata, PA 17522.
