Police were called to investigate the theft of cell phones in two separate incidents.
The owner of a Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom told police he had mistakenly left his phone at the Middletown Public Library on Jan. 4 and discovered it had been stolen when he went to retrieve it.
Numerous attempts to locate the device electronically were unsuccessful, police said. The phone’s value was not reported.
In another case of theft, an area resident told police he had left his Samsung Galaxy S5 phone at Hoffer Park on Dec. 30 and discovered that it had been stolen.
The phone was valued at $700, police said.
Police are asking anyone with information about either theft to call them at 717-558-6900.
