Highspire Police News: 08/06/14

Following is a compilation of reports from the Highspire Police Department. Please be aware all those charged/cited are presumed innocent unless  proven otherwise in a court of law.

Someone called the Twin Kiss Restaurant in the 200 block of Second St. attempting to commit fraud on
May 3, police said.
The owner told police someone claimed to be a PPL Electric representative and asked for a payment over the phone.
The incident is under investigation.

Three unidentified women loaded a shopping cart with laundry detergent and other items and left the Dollar General store on Second Street without paying around 3:15 p.m. on
May 4, police said.
They were last seen leaving the parking lot in a white Oldsmobile.
The incident is under investigation.

Someone took two wallets containing about $7 and store discount and insurance cards from of an unlocked vehicle in the 400 block of Eshelman Street sometime on May 14, police said.
