Elizabeth T. Heddy, 73, of Middletown, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, March 12, at Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on September 27, 1941 in National Park, N.J., and was the daughter of the late Edward and Edna Manzi Hess.
Elizabeth was the owner of the Lamp Post Inn, Middletown and the Alpine Inn, Lewisberry, and was a co-owner of Gibbs Lounge in National Park, N.J. She was a dedicated and hard worker for many years and made her businesses very successful, but most importantly she loved spending time with her loving family and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving companion Clark D. Meader.
She is survived by her daughter Pamela S. Heddy of Middletown; and son Steven W. Heddy of Ledgewood, N.J.; grandchildren Tucker W. Etnoyer of Middletown, Samuel M. Etnoyer of Hummelstown, and Bridget Heddy and Morgan Heddy of Ledgewood; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
At Betty’s request the services will be at a later date at the convenience of the family and she will return home to New Jersey to be laid to rest with her family.

The family has entrusted the care to the Matinchek and Daughter Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Middletown, to handle the arrangements.
