Jasper's goal and assist lead Raiders over Panthers in girls' soccer

Bianca Jasper scored a goal on a penalty kick and assisted on the game-winning goal to lead Middletown to a 2-1 victory over previously-unbeaten division rival East Pennsboro on Tuesday, Sept. 9 in Middletown.

    firstpicwebAlexis Ulrich scored the game-winner in the 78th minute. Jasper had tied the game, 1-1, in the 27th minute after East Pennsboro (6-1, 2-1 in the Mid-Penn Conference's Capital Division) grabbed an early lead on a goal by Hannah Young just six minutes into the game.

Goalkeeper Brooke Myers had 12 saves for the Blue Raiders. It was Middletown's fourth straight victory (4-1, 3-1).

The Raiders' winning streak ended two days later in a 1-0 loss to undefeated Trinity (6-0-1, 3-0) on Thursday, Sept. 11 in Camp Hill.

The Shamrocks' Brenna Finegan scored the game's only goal just before halftime.

Myers made 12 saves in the loss.
