It was an evening full of smiles, cheers, and hugs as the Class of 2014 at Steelton-Highspire High School held its commencement in the school’s auditorium on Thursday, June 12.
As the 75 graduates entered and took their seats, the sounds of “Pomp and Circumstance” were muffled by a familiar sound: rhythmic claps from the crowd, a signature at Steel-High basketball games.
Friends and family filled the bleachers to watch one chapter of the seniors’ lives come to an end. Students relived past moments through speeches by fellow classmates.
At the end, each graduate was handed the coveted piece of paper – their diploma – and a white rose.
